Layer 1 Foundation is a non-profit organization supporting the development of the BRC20 token standard and other metaprotocols built on Bitcoin and Ordinals. They aim to support the development of open-source technologies that push Bitcoin forward—specifically the development and maintenance of BRC20, the first fungible token standard built on native Bitcoin, and similar metaprotocols currently in development.
